Visual Resume
A few weeks ago we were told to make a visual resume that we could send to clients, I decided to post it because it has become so useful to me in the past week or so in trying to get an internship!

Fragrancy
Give Blood, Give Life
My first self-promo for my Photographic Illustration class! I wanted to do an ad for a non-profit organization so I thought of what would be fun to illustrate. The American Red Cross was my final decision!
Hope you enjoy

CMY (Cupcake Mistake, Yes?)
(Large View) www.flickr.com/photos/brandoncwarren/5698341048/in/photos...
The story behind these sadly ruined CMY cupcakes: I was carrying 2 boxes up a driveway and these slipped and fell into this beautiful arrangement!
Oh and for anyone who doesnt understand! RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) are the 3 colors of light. CMY (Cyan Magenta Yellow) are subractive colors with which we print things!

It's been a while since my last big production, but here's one of a few that are coming up this week!
This is the incredible Cali Lowdermilk, who appears in one other shot in my photo stream.
I have summer portfolio coming up and I had the idea of painting a face up to look like a softer version of the popular "Sugar Skulls" that frequent Dia de los Muertos festivals.
Took about 2 days to make the set with the help of Kathy Sunderman.
The makeup was a collaborative effort by Melissa Melvin Rodriguez, Holly Rose Mann, Cali, and myself.
Hope you guys like it!

Secret Garden (Chrome Film)
Inspired by and named after the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett - "The Secret Garden" Shot this a few months ago!
It's my friend Anna Tucker and her gorgeous tights!
She had the flower behind her ear all day and we were walking down this stone path. I look down in the viewfinder of my Mamiya C330 and see her legs against the stone and HAD to shoot it!
I love the tonality of it all, very summery.
Camera - Mamiya C330

My mom bought me this book as a surprise this past week, and she always knows the perfect thing to get for me, so I'm dedicating this image to her. This was done in about 10-15 minutes! So not as elaborate as some of my other set ups have been.
My mom is always inspiring me.
My first Alice in Wonderland Still Life.
A new Wonderland shoot is coming soon!

Christmas in July, Bokeh in June
Large View Please!
It's Holly Rose Mann and her fabulous d90 everyone!
This was shot for my small format class in which we were told to use bokeh as a compositional element. This is what we came up with.
It's also a follow up to THIS shot
Have A Very Bokeh Christmas
But I LOVE the bokeh in that lens, it looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey

Ice Cream Kisses like Summer So Sweet.
This is the ever-so-lovely and quite talented Natalie Lowdermilk! Shot this a few weeks ago at Yum-Yum's in Greensboro. (Famous for their Ice Cream, so be sure to try it out)
The window lighting was SO beautiful on her face, so I took aim with my trusty MKII and shot away!
Happy Summer!

Another shot done for my product lighting course.
We had to use available light (outdoors, or window light) and set up a product shoot, I actually find myself really loving setting up these product shoots.
Tackled this one in about 30 minutes. Hope you guys enjoy!

Distant Dreams, Fleeting Conciousness
Took a drive up to Boone yesterday with Holly, and Walker! The light was beautiful so we drove up the mountain to get the best possible view.
I love the mountains, I could live there my entire life and be more than happy.
Enjoy!
More from Boone later this week.

Lomography
So today our assignment in class was to come up with a triptych, my friends all have lomo cameras so I decided I'd do a Lomo ad.
The ever wondrous Walker Anderson and Kayleigh Mezger were my respective models. The Diana F+ on the bag belongs to Walker, and the black Holga 135BC belongs to Kayleigh!
Hope you guys like the final product!

1 Hour, 1 Can, Behind the Scenes.
Here are some behind the scenes shots from the can shoots the other morning!!
I'll post links to other's can images from the morning if they post them!
My team consisted of Lee Goings, Molly Mullin (mosettastone), and Kyle McManus, it was great working on a team, my final shot is in the post below this one.
One Shot
We were given 15 minutes each for our Product lighting class(1 hour shoot time split for a 4 person team, each having to come up with their own composition and lighting and location) to take an outdoor shot of a can and make it look nice.
This was the outcome for me! Hope you guys like it!
Here's the Lighting set up!
Memories in Full Frame (Chrome Film)
This is a full frame shot from the shoot I did with mi madre a few weeks ago, This was taken at the house I first lived in, which is now in disarray, my great grandmother lived there before the 80s, then my parents till '95. Now nobody lives there and it's falling apart.
This was shot on Kodak E100G Film with a Mamiya C330.

A Life Worth Living (Chrome Film)
A shot of my mom from a few weeks ago, This shot was on E100G Ektachrome Film with a Mamiya C330 Twin Lens.
This was actually double exposed originally, so the shot was ruined, when i came back home I decided I really wanted to reshoot it, and I'm glad I did. I am absolutely in love with the tones in this image.
This is a bit outside my normal style, I was shooting for more of a fine art look with this shot and less in terms of the "magical" look that I'm typically recognized by.
I hope you guys really enjoy it!
Forgetting the Words to Your Favorite Song
"It's like forgetting,
The words,
To your favorite song.
You can't believe it,
You were always singin' along." - Eet by Regina Spektor
This is my good friend and Classmate Kayleigh, she is Regina Spektor's double.
This was actually shot today for class, we were given an hour to shoot and edit a self promo. Switched it up and used a Lensbaby Control Freak lens kit on my Mark II. This was the shot I did of Kayleigh.
She photographs amazingly, and I can't wait to get to do more of her when we have a longer time period than 30 minutes to find a location and shoot!
